How do I connect my Intercom workspace?

The core of Translate Desk is its seamless integration with Intercom. This guide explains how to set up and manage your connection.
Connecting your Workspace
To get started, navigate to the Dashboard and click on Connect Intercom. You will be redirected to Intercom's OAuth page where you can grant Translate Desk permission to access your help center.
Permissions Required
Translate Desk requires the following permissions:
Read articles: To pull your content for translation.Write articles: To push the translated versions back to your help center.Read collections: To maintain the structure of your help center.
Syncing Content
Once connected, Translate Desk will automatically index your collections and articles.
Pulling Articles
When you select an article to translate, Translate Desk pulls the latest HTML content directly from Intercom. This ensures you are always working on the most up-to-date version.
Pushing Translations
After translation, you can choose to:
- Push as Draft: Create a new draft in Intercom for manual review.
- Update Existing: Overwrite an existing translation if one already exists.
- Publish: Directly publish the translated article.
